Youth homelessness, central theme of the latest issue of Injuve's Journal of Youth Studies

On Thursday, February 1, the Injuve magazine "Residential exclusion among young people: challenges and proposals for a more inclusive society" promoted by HOGAR SÍ and Provivienda in the framework of the innovation project H4Y FUTURO was presented.

The magazine deals with residential exclusion among young people, a phenomenon on the rise in recent years, as well as youth homelessness. A situation that affects more than 6,036 people in Spain between 18 and 29 years of age, an increase of 36% compared to a decade ago.

The event was attended by the general director of InJuve, Margarita Guerrero; Clara López, director of the Youth and Young Women's Observatory of InJuve; Alba González, advocacy technician at Provivienda; Clara Fuentes, advocacy and communication technician at HOGAR SÍ; Ulisses Marques, expert on homelessness; and Carmen Tamayo, homelessness program technician at Solidarios para el Desarrollo.

The conference addressed the need to adapt resources and solutions to youth homelessness and the urgency of public housing policies and social services that do not perpetuate the extreme vulnerability of youth.
