Since 2022, HOGAR SÍ and Provivienda, in collaboration with 12 local and regional public administrations, are implementing the innovation projects Housing Rights and H4Y FUTURE with funding from Next Generation funds through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030. The projects seek to transform the current system of care for homelessness, aimed at favoring autonomy, increasing people's control and choice and guaranteeing their right to live independently in housing in the community.
In this context, Provivienda and HOGAR SÍ will organize on November 12, the conference "Keys for Change: The Housing Rights Project in Asturias", in collaboration with the City Council of Avilés, the City Council of Gijón and the Principality of Asturias. The event, which will take place from 10:00 a.m. at the Niemeyer, will address the main lessons learned in the region for the transformation of the homelessness care system through the Housing Rights program.
The event will be attended by Paula Álvarez, Director General of Social Rights Management of the Principality of Asturias; Mariví Monteserín, Mayor of Avilés; and Ángeles Fernández-Ahuja, Councilor for Social Rights, Housing and Education of Gijón-Xixón; as well as specialists in the field from Provivienda and HOGAR SÍ.
In Asturias, we have found the "Keys for Change", a small object with the power to transform lives. With each key, we are offering people autonomy, security and a future. Now, you too can be part of this transformation. Register for the event here.
