If you are looking for a space and tools that allow you to innovate and transform the homelessness care system, HOGAR SÍ and Provivienda invite you to discover "La Casa de las Herramientas", a unique space in Escuela Housing. Designed for people committed to the fight against homelessness, this space offers a collection of practical and flexible tools that facilitate the processes of autonomy and social support.
This space represents an opportunity to join a network of change agents who, through adaptable tools, are redefining social accompaniment with a focus on deinstitutionalization. Participants will be able to use resources created from real experiences of accompaniment, and have the support of professionals who are committed to effective social transformation.
With "La Casa de las Herramientas", we seek to train participants to apply innovative solutions in accompaniment, adapting each resource to the needs of each person and context.
What will you find in "La Casa de las Herramientas"?
1.-Flexible and adaptable tools: Designed by and for professionals and homeless people, these tools are focused on the empowerment and autonomy of people. They range from economic management and decision making to health and process activation.
Ten key areas of intervention: This space includes tools divided into ten thematic areas that address the fundamental aspects of accompaniment. You will find resources to work on topics such as:
- Promoting self-sufficiency and exit plans
- Economic management and entrepreneurship
- Complex situations and trauma
- Health and community development
Continuous innovation: The tools have been evaluated and improved by both the technical teams and the people accompanied organically over time in the Housing Rights and H4Y FUTURE programs, ensuring that they are practical, efficient and person-centered. This adaptable approach allows professionals to mold each resource to the specific needs of each situation.
A Corporate and Committed Approach to Social Innovation
The creation of "La Casa de las Herramientas" is part of a comprehensive effort by HOGAR SÍ and Provivienda in their social innovation projects Derecho a la vivienda and H4Y FUTURO. With support from the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 and European Next Generation EU funds, these projects seek to empower third sector professionals and public administrations to develop innovative solutions to homelessness. Currently, these efforts are impacting eight cities in Spain: Avilés, Barcelona, Cartagena, Gijón, Madrid, Mallorca, Murcia and Seville.
This free space represents a step forward towards transforming the homelessness care system, offering both practical skills and inspiration for significant change in the way we approach this structural phenomenon in Spain.
